Annie Roney
Founder and CEO
Called “a straight-up Samurai Love Warrior with incisive and honest guidance” by filmmaker Peter Bratt, Annie Roney is the founder and CEO of ROCO Films and co-founder of FILM PLATFORM. For over two decades Annie has cultivated documentary filmmaker relationships, building a solid brand of trust in an industry skeptical of distributors, as well as meaningful distribution relationships with all relevant media, globally, from broadcasters to theatrical distributors, educational institutions and research databases, film festivals, TVOD platforms, streamers and funders.
Annie is known for her curatorial eye. ROCO has had at least one Oscar-nominated documentary film under their distribution label in 19 out of the past 20 years of curation, distribution and relationship-building.
